Harry Callahan & Aaron Siskind

Photographers Aaron Siskind and Harry Callahan met at BMC. In 1951, Siskind was invited to join Callahan as part of the faculty at the Institute of Design in Chicago and took over as the head of the photography program in 1961 after Callahan left. The two reunited again in 1971 when Siskind left the Institute of Design and went to teach at the Rhode Island School of Design, where Callahan also taught. The two worked closely together and even exhibited together in 1957 at the Centre Culturel Americain in Paris.
