Anni Albers & Alexander Reed
Alexander Reed met Anni Albers during his time at Black Mountain College. Similar to Anni Albers and her husband Josef, Reed saw value in everyday objects and often incorporated them in his work. He and Anni Albers collaborated on a series comprised of jewelry created from found objects, highlighting several necklace that combined everyday materials to create a valuable piece of art. Together they challenged the definition of value and pushed their audience to reevaluate what they may personally consider valuable.
